Today I am going to attend two auctions and may bid on an apartment. This has me a bit stressed out.

The auctions were a bit anticlimatic. The first had a minimum bid which was about twice my budget, the second was canceled. But it was still interesting to see how many people showed up and interesting to see how the officials reacted to being locked out - the auction took place on the sidewalk, which is technically illegal but in practice quite a reasonable compromise when it's a ground-floor property nobody is bidding on.
