Ginger vodka v1.0

  • 200ml of strong vodka
  • Ginger root
  • 2 tsp liquid honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  1. Boil a small amount of water in a kettle.
  2. Fill a small garlic press with ginger root and squeeze as much of the juice as possible (approx 1 teaspoon) into a small (150ml or so) glass.
  3. Add the honey and lemon juice, and then fill the glass with hot water.
  4. Stir!
  5. Pour the mixture gently through a coffee filter into a 350ml flask.
  6. Top up with vodka!
  7. Refridgerate.

Shake and serve cold to house guests on a Thursday night while debating privacy, freedom and whether states naturally gravitate towards surveillance and oppression.

(Note that very fine particles of ginger (whatever made it through the coffee filter) will settle to the bottom of the flask. Rather than attempting to filter them away, just shake the bottle before serving.)
