Today Unnur and I took care of all the paperwork involved in our marriage, which is planned for next summer - as far as the government is concerned, we got married today. We beg to differ - we are just taking care of things a bit early, because doing so will give us a pretty hefty tax break at the end of the month. The whole "ceremony" took under 10 minutes.

So please don't congradulate us (unless you want to congradulate us on the cash...), because there was no romance involved, just laws and taxes. Us getting engaged was much more exciting (to us anyway).

But this is an important mile-stone on our path to the real thing, so I'm recording it here. *grin*

Us considering this and seeking advice is (I think) what promted Már's recent diary entry on the Three Sides of Weddings. We agree.
