I just realized that I have hardly posted any sex-related links to my diary, since I first started keeping it. How unlike me... so here is a little info about my all-time-favorite online sex resource: soc.sexualty.general.

When I first came online (hey, stop grinning!), I was a healthy curious teenager and very quickly discovered the alt.sex FAQ, which contained almost everything a beginner needs to know. The alt.sex.wizards FAQ is pretty neat too.

Sadly, the alt.sex newsgroup died when Evil People invented spam. It's has (at least partially) been replaced by soc.sexuality.general, (that's a news: link - if you can't read news, then try deja) which still gets regular posts from at least one old alt.sex regular who helped draft the original alt.sex FAQ.

It's an interesting group, which I read every once in a while when I find the time. Of course, most of the time people are asking and answering the same old questions - but occasionally something new will pop up and I'll learn something.

For some reason these old usenet forums seem much more useful and interesting to me than modern web based forums/pages like klám.is or the sex forum on hugi.is.
