Well - I've been optimistic before, I can't help being optimistic again. Today we decided to bypass the real estate agency altogether, and talk to the owner of the apartment directly. After chatting with her a bit we made a verbal agreement on a new offer which she said she would be willing to accept. Instead of 8.4 million, we are paying 8.55.

So now I'm taking care of the paperwork, and tomorrow (hopefully) everyone will show up and sign. And then we just wait for all the loans to get transferred and so on and so forth. I really hope Murphy doesn't bother us any more.

We are making the 150000kr price hike easier on us by spreading it (the total cash deposit) over a few months, so the apartment won't be officially ours until about a year from now. But we'll be living in it long before then. I hope!
