American Gods and the music of Istanbul

2008-03-03 00:45

I've spent a lot of time this weekend reading Niel Gaiman's American Gods online.

I'm pretty sure I have the book in my bookshelf back home in Iceland, but in spite of best intentions and knowing what's good for me, I hadn't ever gotten around to reading it. Until now.

I'm enjoying it so much I don't even notice when my lovely girlfriend speaks to me!

So it was sheer luck that I heard her key in the door this evening and caught up with her as she left to go see a semiprivate screening of Crossing The Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul at her friend Regan's book shop.

I'm glad I caught up; it was a wonderful film. I think I shall order myself a copy online.

The Irish Blog Awards last night were great fun too.

It's been a good weekend.
