So today has been an "Icelanders in the news" day for me. Good and bad.

First I found out that my friends in Hraun are doing well in the BBC's "The Next Big Thing"! Great news! I wish them the best of luck. :-)

Then I found out that Iceland now has it's very own terrorist; an art student who decided that planting a fake pipe bomb and phoning in a bomb scare at an art gallery in Canada would somehow qualify as "art".

Reading interviews with the guy and looking at his Youtube and Myspace profiles leave me with no sympathy for him; he knew what he was doing was wrong and went ahead and did it anyway - poorly.

I sincerely hope he doesn't get away with just a slap on the wrist, he really needs a reality check and bomb scares aren't to be taken lightly.
