My music collection lives on a hard drive in my living room in Iceland. Just now I installed sshfs on my workstation here in California am using it to access my music over the 'net.
I'm listening to Elastica.
One of my coworkers last night told me that since I last played with it, sshfs has gotten much more robust and stable. It now actually uses sftp. So I decided to give it another try - it took me all of five minutes to install, mount and get my music playing. The only trick? Use mplayer -cache 128 to eliminate skipping.
sshfs makes me happy.
