Interviewaphobia

2006-11-20 23:35

Amongst other things, I'm being trained to do interviews for potential hires here at Google.

This is a very nerve wracking proposition.

I rather enjoyed being interviewed, but I have major doubts about taking a position on the other side.

What if all the people I interview turn out to be far cleverer and more qualified than I? When most of them then fail to make the grade and get turned down, I'll have no choice but to face the fact that I myself may actually not be qualified to work here either!

Then what will I do?

I think the only sensible course of action is to stock up on expensive items from the mini-kitchen, which I can then sell on the black market. I wonder which has a higher re-sale value per kilo, the organic string-cheese or those yummy fruit/vegentable juice cocktails?

I quite like the organic string-cheese. I shall miss it when I go back to Dublin.
