I just convinced my iBook that it should let me use an external monitor to extend my desktop. Supposedly only PowerBooks have this feature, but some clever chap figured out how to enable it on lowly iBooks as well.
I also got a kick out of reading this Linux user's experiences when switching to a mac. I agree with most of his critique, it pretty well sums up alot of my negative experiences as well. This discussion of OS X's abysmal speed (in some benchmarks) compared to Linux (and Windows!) is also interesting.
That said, my iBook is still by far the best computer I've ever owned. But nothing is perfect, not even my lovely mac.
Here's hoping future updates to OS X will fix some of the above issues.
