Yesterday I very cleverly poured a glass of milk over my laptop.
I took it apart and rinsed and cleaned what I could.
Someday soon I might put it together and see if it still works.
...
Update, 2006-04-06:
So, I put it back together and switched it on.
It boots up just fine, the operating system starts, everything looks good... but my USB wireless adaptor doesn't work. Neither does my spare USB wireless adaptor. Further testing reveals that the built in network adaptor doesn't work either, and neither does the PCMCIA network adaptor I had lying around.
The machine never had a floppy drive or CDROM.
It seems the only way I can get stuff on or off the damn thing is by removing the hard drive and plugging it into another machine!
This makes the milktop almost completely useless to me.
I suppose I could remove the hard drive, fill it with music and use the machine as a juke-box. Assuming the sound still works, which I haven't really tested.
Damn. :-(
Any suggestions or ideas are more than welcome.
