Katrina and New Orleans

During the past few days I've been reading alot of news and blogs about the aftermath of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the neighboring areas.

It's very sobering to watch the richest country in the world completely fail to provide adequate help and support to its own citizens after a completely predictable (and in fact oft-predicted) catastrophe.

Something's profoundly wrong over there. :-/
