Password protected blogging

2004-12-23 14:20
From an e-mail I sent a friend about a password protected entry yesterday:

You're missing a very boring entry about exactly what I did at work today, which frankly, wasn't much... :-) Actually, the most common reason I lock up entries so almost noone can see them is that they're just frightfully boring and pointless for everyone but me. Publishing my grocery-lists for all to see would lower the overall quality of my blog for my readers. So I don't do it. This way people [who stumble across things they can't read] think my most mundane entries are actually mysterious, exciting secrets! Pretty clever, eh?

Of course, how true this statement is depends entirely on how much access whoever's reading it has. For example, I haven't yet reached the point where I blog absolutely mind-numbingly boring stuff in access groups I myself can't even read.

Some of my hidden entries are actually quite interesting. No, really. They are!

Almost all of them are in Icelandic, though.
