Beep, beep! says my trusty old Nokia 5110.

It seems a new worm started to spread about an hour ago, causing the outbreak detection system at work to send me lots of SMS messages.

This pest has a very large (over 400kB) attachment, seems to be contained in a ZIP archive most of the time. That sort of bloated size implies to me either sloppy code or a lot of potentially nasty functionality. I'll find out which tomorrow when I talk to the guys from the virus-lab.

Viruses aren't really my problem, you see. But they keep me up at night anyway, since I wrote the alert system and subscribe to it myself so I'll know if/when it breaks. So when there's an outbreak, my phone harrasses me until the virus-lab has updated our product's virus detection. Luckily that usually doesn't take very long.

If you happen to know any virus writers, let them know that they'd be doing me a personal favour if they'd unleash their damn pests during the day, instead of the middle of the night.

Well. Ideally they wouldn't unleash them at all, but I'm pretty sure that's too much to ask.
