The politics of cannabis (and E)

This week I had a couple of discussions on drug legislation, and one of the things I claimed was that pressure from the U.S. was largely responsible for most western countries cannabis legislation - that it rarely had much to do with common sense or health issues.

The people I talked to weren't quite ready to swallow that claim... but this article rather supports my point (thanks to Ágúst for the links).

For Icelanders interested in the how this all came about, this article tells an interesting story.
