Spotted on Dr. Gunni's page, but apparently it's been all over the 'blog community for the past few days.

On Slashdot I found a link to a description of a rather funny bug found in many common modems. If I was an idiot I could modify my diary to hang up peoples' modems whenever they tried to post a comment. :-)

Incidentally, this bug is yet another example of the collateral damage caused by software patents.
