Muhahahaha... Bjarni, please make sure that your private entries *do* show up as empty greyed out boxes. Reading your diary will become *so* much more interesting that way. Furthermore, please consider making the titles of your secret entries visible to *all* readers as an irritating teaser for the kurious kitties. (sic)

One of the many ways to use this feature is to get a better feel for how many people are really interested in my diary. I think it's only fair that people interested in reading about my personal life at least introduce themselves - requiring people to request a username and password and use it to access that material is one simple way to enforce that.

The only problem is, people have too many usernames and passwords already. Forcing people to add another makes the whole system a bit more irritating (and less likely to be used) than otherwise.

Note that I'm not sure how important this is to me.

If I decide it's very important, then I'll probably stop posting anything remotely personal, and move all the "diary" elements to the private part, leaving only a traditional weblog visible to the un-introduced world.

If it's not important, then I'll use the secret part of my diary only for very private things and the user list will never go above 4-5 persons.

I've created a tool which I'm not quite sure how to use. :-) It's an interesting expirament.
