My postitive opinion of Obama is based largely on endorsements by people I trust. He gets good marks for his IT policy, and has a track record of fighting for (and getting cross-party support for) legislation that fighting corruption and improving citizen rights.

Also, his campaign has dignity and "vision" - and I have yet to hear him resort to fear-mongering. That appeals to me.
